CRI Meeting at Carmel Home, Belur
On August 4, 2024, the Carmel Home in Belur hosted the CRI meeting for the Chikmagalur Diocese. The event brought together 70 participants from three deaneries: Hassan, Chikmagalur, and Balehonnur.
The meeting began with an inaugural speech by Fr. Joseph, the Episcopal Vicar for Religious. In his address, he encouraged the attendees with the words, "Bloom where you are planted." Sr. Geraldine, the president of the gathering and a member of the SMMI congregation, emphasized the importance of mutual service in religious life, stating, "Religious life is called to live in service of each other."
A highlight of the event was a presentation by Fr. Prasanna Kumar, who delivered a paper on the "Mission Dimension of Consecrated Life." His insights and reflections provided valuable perspectives for the participants.
The meeting concluded at 3:00 PM, with attendees expressing their satisfaction with the arrangements and hospitality provided by the hosts. The event was marked by a spirit of unity and dedication to the mission of religious life.
