Word Became flesh at Pushpashrama
December 24, 2016 as the clock crossed number 11 the brothers of
Pushpashrama through their angelic voice sang the Christmas
carols which enabled the faithful to experience the joy of baby
Jesus in the silent moments of the night. The solemn Eucharistic
celebration of the Nativity of our Lord initiated at 11-30pm at
the beautiful illuminated shrine of the Infant Jesus, Mysore. Fr
Vijay D’ Costa, the Shrine pastor presided over the festal mass
along with the community friars and Fr Alphonse Britto from
Dhyanavana. Fr Oswald Crasta unraveled the mystery of the
Incarnation in his inspirational and scriptural homily. The
liturgy was evocatively systematized by the brothers of
Pushpashrama. After the spiritual celebration all the faithful
assembled at the ingress of the shrine where the brothers
conducted housie games and meantime Santa Caluse greeted all the
people with Christmas wishes. The prizes were distributed to all
the winners and all the faithful were given the Christmas cakes.
Thus it was a solemn celebration at the Infant Jesus shrine as
we celebrated the birthday of Jesus Christ.
