Sacrament of Confirmation Administered at LONDA
LONDA: Bishop Peter Machado, Bishop of Belgaum diocese administered the sacrament of Confirmation to 23 youngsters at Holy Family Church, Londa. Delvering a homily on the theme Povitr Atmeachea Bollan, Jezuche Govay zaunk Bhagevont Sebastianv amkam nomuno, Bishop reflected on the life of Jesus in witnessing the Father. “ Be open to the Holy Spirit.” he told the candidates receiving the sacrament. He highlighted the effects of the Sacrament of initiation and the sacrament of Confirmation in particular. Speaking on the importance of the sacrament he said that it roots the recipient more deeply in divine sonship, binds him/her more firmly to Christ and to the Church and gives strength to witness to the Christian faith.

Sr. Lizetta B.S. prepared the students for the confirmation. Br. Malvino Alfonso was the commentator for the liturgical rite. Fr. Anthony D’souza, Parish Priest, proposed a vote of thanks.
