Carmelite Family Get-together in Mangaluru
On Sunday, July 21st, a family get-together was
held for all the Carmelites of the Mangalore and
Udupi dioceses on the occasion of the feast of
Our Lady of Mt. Carmel. More than 100 OCD
Friars, AC, CSST, and CMC sisters participated
in the event held at St. Agnes College,
Mangaluru.
At 3:30 PM, a concelebrated Holy Eucharist was
held in the St. Agnes Convent Chapel. Fr. Rudolf
Raj Pinto was the main celebrant, and Fr. Alvito
Fernandes delivered a meaningful homily. The
melodious choir by the AC Sisters helped elevate
our minds and hearts in praise and thanksgiving.
This was followed by tea and snacks generously
served by the AC Sisters. A short program was
then held at St. Agnes High School auditorium,
featuring songs, games, and jokes organized by
the OCD brothers and AC Sisters. The prizes were
sponsored by the CSST sisters. The entire
program fostered a strong sense of Carmelite
fraternity and identity.
