OUR LADY OF MOUNT CARMEL VENERATED at BELUR!
The feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel was celebrated with great devotion and fervor at St. Michael’s Church, at Belur on Sunday, July 16.The main celebrant of the mass was Fr. Joseph Pinto and Fr.Kevin Fernandes concelebrated. More than 120 devotees gathered for the Eucharistic celebration.

In his homily, Fr.Joseph invited the devotees to fight the spiritual fight with the help of the Scapular which was a sign of Mary’s maternal protection and intercession. He invited the faithful to wear it with devotion and inculcate her virtues in life. The liturgy was prepared by the Mount Carmel School teachers.

Scapulars were distributed after the Eucharistic celebration. Sweets were served to enhance the festive joy.
