Province day and Superiors’ meeting in Sadbhavana
All the superiors of our communities in India came together for the meeting on the 22nd of November in Sadbhavana. Fr Ayris Fernandes, a renowned liturgist serving in CCBI Bengaluru was invited to enlighten us on the directives for the celebration of the liturgy. In the evening the Province Day was celebrated with all solemnity to thank God for the blessings he has showered on us through the intercession of our heavenly patroness, St. Teresa of Avila. Fr Provincial presided over the liturgy and Fr Joseph D’Souza Jr broke the word of God meaningfully. After the Eucharistic celebration there was a small cultural programme to wish and felicitate Fr Provicial, the Jubilarians, a Doctor, and B’day Babies. Fr Wilfred Rodrigues compered the programme. Fr. George Santhumayor spread the red carpet of roses and Fr. Sunil Monis raised the toast for the six celebrants viz, Fr. Provincial, our captain, Fr Joseph D’Souza and Fr Elias Daniel the silver Jubilarians of religious life, Fr Lawrence and Fr Joe Tauro the B’day babies and Fr. Alphonse Britto the latest doctor in spirituality. All the celebrants were honored with a bouquet of flowers, a shawl and Mysuru Petas. Fr Provincial at the end verbalized his sentiments of gratitude to one and all. The Province Day celebration culminated in mouthwatering delicacies prepared and provided by the delegate superior of Sadbhavana. The superiors’ meet concluded on the 23rd of November with the meaningful discussions and suggestions in view of the forthcoming chapter.
