Centenary Celebration of the Sainthood of
St. Thérèse of the Child Jesus at Dhyanashram, Rajodi
On September 30, 2025, Dhyanashram, Rajodi, was filled with joy as
the community celebrated the Centenary of the Sainthood of St.
Thérèse of the Child Jesus under the theme “St. Thérèse of the Child
Jesus: A Sign of Hope.”The celebration began with a Solemn Eucharist
at 7:00 p.m., presided over by Rt. Rev. Thomas D’Souza, Bishop of
Vasai Diocese, together with several concelebrating priests: Fr.
Rony, Fr. Savio D’Monte (Chaplain of Our Lady of Good Health Chapel,
Rajodi), Fr. Regan D’Souza (Superior of Shanti Dam Community, Mira
Road), Fr. Nelson Cardoza, Fr. Ashwin D’Souza, Fr. Joel Oliver, Fr.
Avith Pais, Fr. William Miranda, Fr. Peter Peirera (Superior of
Dhyanashram), Fr. Pradeep Pinto, and Fr. Macson Dabre.
In his homily, Bishop Thomas D’Souza highlighted the simplicity and
humility of St. Thérèse, virtues that continue to inspire countless
faithful even today. After the Eucharist, Fr. Peter Peirera thanked
God for the gift of St. Thérèse and expressed gratitude to all
benefactors and well-wishers. On this occasion, Bishop Thomas
D’Souza was also felicitated, and he warmly appreciated the
Carmelite presence in the Diocese of Vasai as men of prayer.
The Eucharistic celebration was attended by parishioners, religious
sisters from the vicinity, benefactors, and well-wishers, who all
joined in thanksgiving for this special occasion.
The evening concluded with a monastic meal, joyfully shared by
priests, sisters, and the gathered faithful, marking the day with
fellowship, gratitude, and fraternal joy.
