A Grace-Filled Milestone: Silver Jubilee of
Sr. Jacintha of Jesus
The Cloistered Carmel of Mysore was filled with joy and gratitude on
October 11, 2025, as the community celebrated the Silver Jubilee of
Religious Profession of Sr. Jacintha of Jesus. Marking twenty-five
years of faithful consecration to God in the Carmelite life, the
occasion was one of deep thanksgiving and spiritual joy.
The solemn Eucharistic celebration was presided over by Rev. Fr.
Archibald Gonsalves, OCD, Vicar Provincial of the Karnataka-Goa
Province. Rev. Fr. Oswald Crasta, OCD concelebrated the Mass,
joining in prayer and thanksgiving for the jubilarians’ dedicated
life of prayer, sacrifice, and service within the cloister.
The celebration was made more meaningful by the presence of Sr.
Jacintha’s family members, friends, and benefactors of Carmel, who
came together to thank God for the gift of her vocation and
perseverance.
After the Holy Mass, a simple felicitation followed, during which
words of appreciation and gratitude were expressed for Sr.
Jacintha’s faithful witness to the Carmelite charism of prayer and
contemplation. The jubilee cake was cut to double the joy and mark
the beauty of the occasion, filling the atmosphere with warmth,
smiles, and heartfelt thanksgiving.
May Sr. Jacintha of Jesus continue to walk in the radiance of God’s
love and inspire many to follow the path of total dedication to
Christ in Carmel.
