A Heartfelt Thanksgiving with Archbishop
Bernard Moras at the Cloistered Carmel, Bogadi
His Grace Most Rev. Bernard Moras, Apostolic Administrator of the
Diocese of Mysore, visited the Cloistered Carmel at Bogadi, Mysore,
on 13 October 2025 to celebrate a Thanksgiving Mass with the
Carmelite community.
Before returning to Bengaluru later that afternoon, the Archbishop
desired to spend this special moment in prayer and gratitude with
the cloistered sisters who continually uphold the Church and the
diocese through their life of contemplation and intercession.
During the Eucharistic celebration, Archbishop Moras offered prayers
for the sisters, expressing his heartfelt appreciation for their
constant spiritual support—both for the intentions of the diocese
and for his own ministry.
At the conclusion of the Mass, the Carmelite sisters expressed their
deep gratitude to the Archbishop for his dedicated service to the
Diocese of Mysore and assured him of their continued prayers as he
returns to Bengaluru.
The visit was marked by an atmosphere of serenity, thanksgiving, and
mutual appreciation, beautifully reflecting the bond between the
shepherd of the Church and the hidden contemplatives who sustain its
mission through prayer.
