We gave thanks to God…
The Thanksgiving Day 2016 was celebrated
at St. Aloysius Parish, Kitchener, ON, Canada on
10th October. The concelebrated Morning Mass was
presided over by the Pastor of the Parish, Fr.
Jerome Mascarenhas. Deacon David Avila, our
parishioner and one of the transitional deacons of
the Diocese of Hamilton joined the Eucharistic
celebration and proclaimed the Word of God. The
Presider of the Mass preached a fitting homily to
the occasion and invited a lady composer to sing her
piece of music on thanksgiving soon after the
homily. It really uplifted our hearts to God in
thanksgiving for all his blessings. About 70-80
people participated in this special Thanksgiving
Mass. This day is celebrated as Thanksgiving Day all
over Canada being together with family, having a big
Turkey Dinner and giving thanks to God for the
produce and fruits of the earth.
