Mass for Kids!
As the new School Year began in the first
week of September here in Canada, St. Aloysius
Parish at Kitchener, ON welcomed kids for first
Children Mass of this year on Sunday, 25th September
2016. The Mass at 11am was celebrated by Fr. Jerome
Mascarenhas, Pastor of the Parish with creative
sermon on the Parable of the Rich man and Lazarus.
The kids were taught in a simple way the message
about sharing with one another what God has given in
abundance. About 30-40 kids participated in this
mass together with their parents and grandparents.
The Church was full rising up to 250-300 people
including our parishioners. The kids from St. Kateri
School (one of the three schools belonging to St.
Aloysius Parish) welcomed all the people at the
entrance with resounding words “Good Morning and
welcome to St. Aloysius Church”. They also assisted
this Mass by proclaiming the Word of God and praying
the general intercessions together with a few
teachers. Immediately after the Mass, the kids and
their parents had a time of fellowship in the Parish
Hall. Every month kids from each school assist the
Mass and others participate in it.
