Faith and Freedom Unite at Pushpashrama
On August 15, Pushpashrama joyfully celebrated with devotion and
patriotism the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary
and the 79th Independence Day of our nation. The day began at 7:00 a.m.
with a solemn Thanksgiving Mass in honour of Our Lady, offering
heartfelt gratitude to God for His blessings upon our lives and our
country. Following the Eucharist, the community, together with the
devotees of Infant Jesus, gathered for the flag-hoisting ceremony. The
national flag was unfurled by the chief guest, Rev. Fr. Lancy Lewis,
proudly waving in the morning breeze. Br. Glavin then delivered an
inspiring message on the true meaning of freedom, reminding everyone
that genuine liberty is rooted in truth and love. The celebration
concluded with the singing of the national anthem and a patriotic song—a
heartfelt tribute to our beloved nation.
