CARMELITE JINGLING AT EMPOLI
December 27, 2014 on the feast day of St John the Evangelist, the Carmelites of K.G Province studying and serving in Italy congregated together at Avane, Empoli to celebrate the Christmas Joy and the fraternity. The get together commenced with the Eucharistic celebration presided over by Fr Vinod Lobo at St Jacob’s Church, Avane. Fr Roshan Lobo preached a touching homily explaining the role of beloved disciple John and invited all to become the beacon of love in our day today life. Frs Rudolph and Manoj through their melodious singing raised our minds and hearts to God. The spiritual celebration was followed by triple celebrations: the Ordination day of Fr Selva Kumar (27th December), the decennial anniversary of the Ordination of Frs Rudolph Pinto and Richard D’Souza (28th December) and the postponed birthday celebration of Fr Manoj Braganza (2nd November). On behalf of all the friars, Fr Ambrose D’ Souza felicitated the jubilarians. Later Fr Donath, Superior of the community extended a red carpet welcome to all and thanked each one for their valuable presence. The culmination of the celebration was the fellowship meal prepared by Frs Teo and Alphonse. This particular get-together became an occasion to meet each other and experience the Carmelite fraternity.
