Dyanprasarak Mandal’s College Excels in ‘The Power of Expression’
Dnyanprasarak Mandal’s College Assagão represented by Ruben Fernandes and Deepika Jha excelled in ‘The Power of Expression’ an intercollegiate competition through the medium of Power Point presentation organised by the Emmaus Counselling Centre of the Carmelite Fathers, Mapusa . They made their presentation on the topic: Healthy Parent – Child Relationships :The Foundation of Family Living Today The second place was bagged by Yohann Santos and Alston D’souza of St. Xavier’s College Mapusa who also presented on the theme: Healthy Parent – Child Relationships :The Foundation of Family Living Today while Asha Amona D’Cunha and Sandhya Patil of Carmel College for Women, Nuvem who presented on Youth and Social Responsibility-The Need of the Hour , won the third place.

Five colleges were selected for the final day on the basis of the write-up submitted by the teams of the colleges. The other colleges who presented on the final day were, Narayan Zantye College of Commerce, Bicholim and Rosary College of Commerce and Arts, Navelim.

Dr. Fr. Praveen D’Souza, Director of the Emmaus Counselling Centre welcomed the gathering and explained the twofold purpose of The Power of Expresion,ie to build intrapersonal and interpersonal development.

The panel of judges included Mr. Pravin Sabnis, Ms. Nadisha Coelho and Alexandre Moniz Barboza.

Prizes and Certificates were distributed at the hands of all the three judges of the competition. Pravin Sabnis explained to the participants on the making and the purpose of power point presentation. Ms. Nadisha Coelho gave some techniques for the presentations.

Ms. Bertilla Vaz, staff at the Emmaus Counselling Centre compered the programme and propose a vote of thanks.
