Blessing of Belfry and Tabernacle in Kempton
Park, South Africa
13th February was ndeed a great day for
the parish of Our Lady of Loreto, Kempton
Park as the archbishop of Johannesburg,
Joseph Buti, presided over the Eucharist
concelebrated by the parish priest, Fr.
Peter and Arvin Tauro along with deacon
Keith Mackenzie to bless the Belfry and the
new tabernacle. During the Eucharistic
celebration the new tabernacle and image of
mother Mary were blessed and after the
homily archbishop commissioned proclaimers,
and catechism teachers and ushers of our
parish. In his homily archbishop highlighted
the importance of mercy towards our brothers
and sisters which originates only being in
the presence of God. After the mass the
parish priest thanked the archbishop for his
presence and constant support and
encouragement. The archbishop expressed his
joy for the people of the parish for all the
service they are rendering and appreciated
the committed and dedicated work of the
priests in the parish and commended them for
the wonderful work of the renovation. After
the spiritual celebration all marched
towards the hall for nourishing and
cherishing refreshments prepared by the
parishioners.
