Infant Jesus Feast at Tapovana
History was created on Sunday, 31st of
January 2016 when for the first time the
feast of Infant Jesus was celebrated at
Tapovana, Kushalnagar. It was preceded by
the novena for 9 days. After the solemn
Eucharist, presided over by the prior Fr.
Wilfy Rodrigues during which he explained
the origin and the development of the
devotion and the need of the celebration of
the feast, a small procession with the
statue of the Infant Jesus was taken around
the monastery. Thereafter the devotees were
anointed with the holy oil of Infant Jesus.
A sumptuous breakfast sponsored by a
devotee, was served to more than 125 people
gathered for the solemn feast. The calendars
donated by the Infant Jesus shrine,
Mangalore, were also distributed to all.
On the same occasion, our cook Mrs. Lilly
Pereira (Lillibai) who had served us for
almost 8 years was felicitated and bidden
farewell as she wanted to retire from the
service in order to take care of her family.
