First Profession of Sr.Jovita of the Holy Trinity
Carmel Matha Ashram, Hassan, rejoiced as Sr. Jovita of the Holy Trinity made her first Profession on the 25th of January. It was a day to thank God for the blessings bestowed on Sr Jovita, and upon the Cloistered Convent. The Solemn Eucharistic celebration held at 11.30 am was presided over by the Provincial, Rev. Fr Silvestre D’Souza along with other Carmelite friars as well the Chaplains of the Convent.

Sr. Jovita earlier had joined the OCDS Secular Carmel and was active for 8 and a half years. Having discerned the call to Carmel with help of her spiritual director she joined the Hassan Carmel on 17th of February 2023. She was clothed with habit of Carmel on 25th January 2024 thereafter completed her Novitiate and made her First Profession on 25th January 2026. The Carmel of Hassan also was delighted to meet her family members and few of the OCDS from Mangalore.
