Infant Jesus Feast at Sadbhavana
Sadbhavana celebrated the feast of Infant Jesus on Sunday, 18th of January, at 10:30 am. Rev. Fr. Charles Serrao OCD, the Provincial Superior presided over the festive mass and Rev. Fr. Alwyn Aranha OCD, Dean of Dhyanasadhana Spirituality Centre, Mysore preached a heart touching homily highlighting the theme ‘Kutmacho Bandh and Sargincho Swad.’ Rev. Fr. Gustavo from Spain and Rev. Fr. Mutato from Japan who are presently working in Rome were present for the Eucharist along with Rev. Fr. Roshan D’Souza from Mira Road and the community fathers. At the end of the mass ‘Kavitvachem Nandhanavan’ a commentary on the Konkani Poetry, written by Mr. Maxim Lobo was released by Rev. Fr. Provincial after which the author briefed about the book. After the mass entertaining games were conducted by the members of the Carmel Kutam under the leadership of Mrs. Pramila D’Souza. Rev. Fr. Jerry D’Souza the Superior of Sadbhavana distributed the prizes to the winners. It was truly a family celebration as the members of the Carmel Kutam came together to cook the festive meal which was shared by more than 250 people who joyfully partook in the entire celebration. This is for the first time the festive meal was cooked here by the members of the Carmel Kutam who in a special way experienced the theme of the feast personally. It was indeed a family celebration.
