Vestition and First Profession in the Vicariate
of Tanzania
On July 19, 2023, the Five postulants were
inducted into the novitiate through the
vestition ceremony during evening prayer at St
Therese of Child Jesus-Malisho Novitiate
Community. Rev. Fr. Praveen Frank, Regional
Vicar, officiated at the vestition ceremony and
received them as novices. Two of the five
postulants were Tanzanians, while three were
Ugandans. Following the event, there was a brief
felicitation. The Vicariate wishes them a
fruitful novitiate year filled with God’s
experience.
On July 20, 2023, it was an exciting day for the
Carmelite Vicariate of Tanzania to witness the
First Profession of four novices: Bros. Innocent
Pamfil, Faraja Ngoghwe, Emily Epafradito, and
Victor Mwanza (Zambia Mission). Rev. Fr. Praveen
Frank, Regional Vicar of Tanzania, received the
Profession at St. James Parish, Uyole, Mbeya
during the Holy Mass at 10-00 am. The Carmelite
friars from different communities, as well as
two guest priests, were present. Rev. Fr. Jacob
Paxy, the pioneer of Zambia Mission and Mission
Animator and presently Second Provincial
Councillor of Manjummel Province in India, was
there and received the profession of the First
Zambian, Br. Victor Mwanza. Rev. Fr. Robin
George, the current Mission Animator of the
Zambia Mission, was also present. In addition,
Rev. Br. Emmanuel Mayinga, the Delegate Superior
of the Uganda Delegation, was present. The
Vicariate wishes the newly professed a joyful
journey in the Carmelite life that they have
chosen.
May these novices and newly professed brothers
walk in love with our patroness of the missions,
St Therese of the Child Jesus.
