Clothed in Grace: Ashadeepa's Devotion to Our Lady of Mount Carmel
The Ashadeepa community joyfully celebrated the Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel on 16th July 2025. It was a grace-filled and spiritually enriching occasion as the community came together to honour our Heavenly Mother for her continued care and protection.

The festive celebration commenced at 6:00 p.m. with the Holy Eucharist. Rev. Fr. Melvin D’Cunha, the Superior of St. Joseph’s Monastery, Mangalore, was the main celebrant, while Rev. Fr. Roshan Monteiro delivered a deeply inspiring homily. In his message, he beautifully explained the meaning of the word Carmel and emphasized the spiritual significance of the Scapular, encouraging all the faithful to deepen their devotion to Our Lady.

A large number of priests from the deanery, Carmelite priests from the region, and religious sisters from various convents in the deanery graced the occasion with their presence. Faithful devotees in great numbers gathered to seek the blessings of Our Lady of Mount Carmel.

The entire celebration had a profound spiritual impact on all who attended. The evening concluded with the distribution of the Scapulars, leaving everyone touched by the presence of Our Blessed Mother and renewed in faith.
