Bishop of Belgaum visits Holy Family Church
The Carmel Nivas Community and the Holy Family Church, Londa, were delighted to warmly welcome Most Rev. Dr. Derek Fernandes for a fraternal visit on Sunday, 20 July 2025. Though his visit was a delightful surprise, it was marked by heartfelt warmth and genuine pastoral care.

During his time with the congregation, Most Rev. Dr. Fernandes celebrated the Sunday Mass and delivered a deeply moving homily that resonated with the faithful. His words inspired reflection and strengthened the community’s faith. After the Mass, he was honoured by the parishioners with a special gesture of appreciation, and he, in turn, expressed his gratitude for the meaningful celebration, the harmonious choir, and the lively participation of the children, all of which had enriched the occasion.

Following the liturgical celebration, the Bishop joined the community for breakfast, sharing fellowship and deepening bonds with the parish clergy.

Though brief, his visit left a lasting impression on everyone present — a beautiful reminder of the shepherd’s loving care as he visits his flock.
