Mt. Carmel Feast at Carmel Ashram, Koteshwar
The titular feast of Our Lady of Mt Carmel was celebrated in Carmel Ashram at Katkere, Koteshwar on 18th July, 2015 at 5.00 pm. The main celebrant of the solemn Eucharistic celebration was Rev. Fr. Joe Tauro OCD, rector of St Joseph Monastery, Bikarnakatte. Priests from the deanery and a few Carmelite friars concelebrated in the thanksgiving mass. In the homily the main celebrant highlighted the importance of the Mt. Carmel Feast and invited the devotees to be be clothed in the virtues of Mother Mary. At the end of the Eucharistic celebration Fr. Felix Moras OCD Superior of Carmel Ashram expressed his sentiments of gratitude to all those who played the role in the festive celebration. Rev. Fr. Anil D’Souza, dean of Kundapur deanery wished the Carmelite priests and the devotees on behalf of the deanery priests. He highly appreciated the ministry of the Carmelites in the deanery. There were around 500 people who took part in the solemn Eucharistic celebration who received a scapular each after the Eucharist.
