Feast of our Lady of Mount Carmel @ Sadbhavana
The feast of our Lady of Mount Carmel was celebrated in Sadbhavana on 24th of July at 8:30am. Fr. Pius James D’Souza, Episcopal vicar for Religious in the diocese of Mangalore presided over the Eucharistic celebration and broke the word of God highlighting the Mercy of God envisioned in the life of Mary. All the friars from Sadbhavana along with Fr. Stephen Pereira and Fr. Gregory D’Souza concelebrated. Fr. Charles Serrao, Provincial Superior distributed the blessed candles to the donors and wished all the participants a very happy feast and expressed his gratitude for all their support and encouragement in the past twenty years as Sadbhavana completes twenty years of its inauguration. (Sadbhavana was inaugurated on the 25th of July, 1996.) After the mass the scapulars were distributed followed by the sumptuous Mangalorean Sanna-dukramass. The dedicated services of the Carmel Kutam was acknowledged by their Spiritual director in the thanks giving speech. People from various Konkani associations joined the Carmel Kutam in praising and thanking our Lady of Mount Carmel for all her intercessions and inspirations.
