A STEP AHEAD IN KADAGANSHI MISSION:
Beginning of the Educational apostolate!
The first phase of Mount Carmel School, Kalaburgi,
consisting of 4 classrooms was blessed on the 16th of June,
2016. Rev. Fr Jerome Moras, Provincial Councilor in-charge
of social work and apostolate was the chief guest. The
programme started at 10:30 am. with the blessing of the new
edifice, by Fr. Jerome Moras. The Superior, Fr Sylvester
Pereira welcomed the gathering. Fr. Nelson Pinto compered
the programme. Fr Arun Bennis proposed the vote of thanks.
Fr. Arun Bennis while expressing his sentiments acknowledged
the generous contribution from the Canada region, especially
the benefactor: Miss Helen Chua Tiampo, through the
relentless efforts of Rev. Fr. Rudolf V. D’Souza, the
support of the Provincial Administration and the committed
and dedicated efforts of Fr. Lawrence D’Cunha, Provincial
Councilor in charge of temporalities who meticulously took
care of the construction from the beginning. Frs. Arun Lobo,
Pawan Saldanha and Anil Prashanth Lobo were the esteemed
guests of honor. Around 75 children and their parents were
present for this historical event. After the programme the
home made sweets were distributed to all those who
participated in the function. At present only the
kindergarten classes (LKG and UKG) have begun and there are
three teachers from Bidar who will be helping the friars
mould the children.
