Fr Abel Mbogho – Anointed as Priest
“You did not choose me, but I chose you”. This was the sentiment of Fr. Abel Leonard Mbogho OCD who was ordained to the sacerdotal priesthood on the 30th of June 2021 at St. Leo the Great-Makiungu Parish in the Catholic Diocese of Singida. The priestly ordination was conferred by His Grace the Bishop of the diocese of Singida, Most. Rev. Edward Mapunda. He invited Fr Abel to take Christ as the perfect model in his priestly life and by doing this he will always remain faithful to the shepherd and His Church. Fr Abel is the 12th ordained Discalced Carmelite priest from the soil of Tanzania. He has been assigned the conventuality at Malisho Community. The K.G. Province along with the Vicariate congratulates him and wishes him every success in his priestly ministry.
