Holy Week Celebrations in Sadbhavana
Sadbhavana witnessed a very meaningful Celebration of the Holy Week this year with lots of people participating in the liturgy. On Palm Sunday people gathered at the entrance of Sadbhavana for the blessing of the palms; after the blessing all the faithful went in a short but devout and meaningful procession. Fr. Jerald D’Souza, Superior of Sadbhavana, Presided over the Eucharist and Fr. Arun Lobo broke the word of God encouraging the faithful to spend more time in prayer and reflection in the holy week.

Rev. Fr. Charles Serrao, Provincial Superior presided over the Eucharist on Maundy Thursday preaching a heart touching homily inspiring the listeners to understand the love of god in their respectives family life. Inspired by the suggestions of our Holy Father twelve representatives were chosen from the people of God comprising of six each men and women.

Way of the Cross was held at 3:00 pm on Good Friday led by Br. Vishan Monis and Pramila D’Souza. Fr. Jerald D’Souza presided over the liturgy on Good Friday and Fr. Canute D’Souza preached the passion of Christ.

The Easter Vigil began at 9:00pm with the blessing of the fire outside the chapel. Fr. Arun Lobo proclaimed the melodious Exultet with his euphonious voice. Fr. Provincial celebrated the Vigil Mass and Fr. Richard Menezes preached the fitting homily for the occasion. After the Easter Vigil Mass all the faithful were offered sweet cake and relishing homemade wine.
