The golden jubilee of religious profession of Br. Baptist Rodrigues
The golden jubilee of religious profession of Br. Baptist Rodrigues was celebrated on 5th, May 2019 at Carmel Hill, Mangaluru. To mark this event a solemn thanksgiving Eucharistic Celebration was celebrated by Most Rev. Bishop Emeritus Aloysius Paul D’Souza at 4: 30 p.m. and thereafter spoke few words in appreciation to his commitment to religious life. Over 70 priests concelebrated and Fr. John Sequeira OCD, broke the Word of God.

The Eucharistic celebration was followed by short felicitation program. Fr. Pius D’Souza OCD raised the toast to Br. Baptist Rodrigues OCD, Fr. Charles Serrao OCD (Provincial superior) honoured the Jubilarian and spoke a few words of appreciation. The Friars of the community sang felicitating songs while the family members also felicitated Br. Baptist. As a fitting conclusion to the program Br. Baptist in his speech thanked each one gathered there. Fr. Prakash D’Cunha did the compering; delicious meal was served to all as the symbol of fraternity and love.
