Childrens day celebrated at Infant Jesus
Shrine
On November 30, 2023, Infant Jesus Shrine, Carmel Hill, organized a
special celebration for the children. The celebration was held at
the shrine campus, where the tiny tots gathered along with their
parents to celebrate childhood.
The celebration began with the 10.30am Mass, which was celebrated by
Rev. Fr Vivian Menezes, who has been working as a missionary in
Tanzania since 25 years. During his homily, he taught the children a
lovely hymn in Ki-Swahili, which everyone picked up, and added their
voices to.
The brief celebration outside the campus started with a lively
action song, in which every child took active part. As the tempo
increased, kids felt the adventure, and gleefully danced to the tune
of the song. The action song was followed by a short game, in which
children ran about forming groups with one another. The winners were
given exciting prizes, which was a surprise! All children manifesed
a game spirit and mingled with new friends.
The celebration ended with the distribution of sweet ladoos to every
child. The children thanked the priests and brothers for the
wonderful celebration and expressed their happiness and gratitude.
The Priests thanked the children and their parents for their active
participation and wished them a happy and blessed Children’s Day.
The children then left Infant Jesus Shrine with smiles on their
faces and memories in their hearts.
