OCDS Profession at Mira Road
November 8th is a day to be written in the Golden letters in the history of St. Joseph’s Church Mira Road and especially in the books of OCDS. We were fortunate to have Very Rev. Fr. Alzinir Xavier Dabastiani, Delegate General for OCDS amidst us. He was on fraternal visit but by God’s grace it became memorable because 7 of our OCDS members made their definitive promises and 5 of them made temporal promises. The solemn Eucharistic mass was presided over by Very Rev. Fr. Charles Serrao, the Provincial Superior who also delivered a very thought provoking homily whereas Delegate General received the promises.

After the Eucharistic Celebration OCDS members gathered together around the Major Superiors to be enlightened by them. During this time three members formally entered the formation in OCDS by the rite of induction. The day concluded with sumptuous dinner cooked and served by the OCDS members.
