Enamored of Him
“It takes courage to answer a call, it takes courage to give your all….”. Seven youngsters Brs Presly Dalen D’ Souza from Hospet, Br. Melrick Rodrigues from Karkal, Br. Stany Steevan A from Marianagar, Br. Cristan Fernandes from Chandavar, Br. Herald Vinod Pais from Badyar, Br. Aldric Shawn Xavier from Moodbidri and Br Hencil Prince Danthi from Udyavar took courage to answer God’s call on 14th November 2020, and gave their all, as they made their first religious profession and received Carmelite habit. Rev Fr. Pius, and James, our Provincial superior, presided over the solemn mass at 10.30 am preached a touching homily shedding light on God’s mercy, poverty of the Order and companionship of the brothers. Enamored of Him was the theme chosen by the professing novices. Around 36 priests concelebrated at the solemn mass, along with 140 faithful. Fr Ashwin D’ Silva animated the liturgy and Pushpashrama brothers raised hearts and minds to God through their melodious choir. After the mass Fr. Jeevan Tauro was felicitated for his committed and dedicated service as Novice Master for the last 7 years.
