ELOCUTION COMPETITION by OCDS
The OCDS community of St Therese of the Child Jesus, Margao, Goa, organized a “Elocution Competition,” for school children, to celebrate the life of their Patroness, in anticipation of her feast on 1st of October, 2019. Fr. Archibald Gonsalves OCD, the Spiritual Assistant, addressed the gathering, and the President of the community, Mr. Roy Rodrigues, welcomed the guests and judges. The Chief Guest was Dr. Shanti Mariette D’Souza, a research expert in Defence, hailing from Mangaluru, but now residing in Goa. The judges were: Fr Richard Menezes ocd, Ms Vilma Maria D’Silva and Ms Freida Pinto.

Twenty students participated and the following are the results:
1st Prize: Miss Sybil Fernandes (Rosary High School, Navelim) and
Miss Shanaya Pereira (Fatima Convent High School, Margao)

2nd Prize: Miss Medora Fernandes (Infant Jesus High School, Colva)

3rd Prize: Master Sherwin Pereira (Altar Servers, Carmelite Monastery, Margao)
