ANNUAL MEETING OF WESTERN CANADA OCDS

The 5th Annual Meeting of Western Canada took place over the weekend of August 22 to 24, 2014 at the Seton House of Prayer, Kelowna, BC. Rev. Fr, Jerald D’Souza OCD, Provincial Delegate, met with Officers of the Secretariat, Community Presidents and Directors of Formation.

The weekend commenced on Friday with Evening Prayer and Mass in the Chapel on the hill overlooking the 160-acre retreat centre. After dinner, the meeting convened during which the reports and business matters were dealt with leaving the following day free for a formation workshop and open forum on challenges and resolutions. Amendments and revisions were made to the monthly community meeting formats and the formation syllabi as well as clarification on community matters. A committee was formed to spearhead the 5th Centennial Birth of St. Teresa. The meeting concluded with dinner and recreation and was adjourned to October 16, 2015 at St. Edmund’s Parish, North Vancouver.

Sunday was made available to the Community of St. Teresa of Jesus of the Andes, Vernon for their ceremonies and meeting with the Provincial Delegate.
