Our new Postulants!
The new community at Carmelite Monastery was formed on the 3rd of September, 2020 and on the same day, Fr. Provincial inducted six aspirants into Postulancy. A small but meaningful ceremony was combined with the Evening Prayer (vespers), during which the Provincial explained the meaning of this stage of formation and base on the call of the first disciples (Jn 1:35-42). He invited the brothers to imbibe the spirit of Carmel, under the guidance of the Formator and the Community.

The new Postulants are:
Br. Lickson Figreda (Holy Cross Church, Eliarpadavu, Mangaluru)
Br. Wilton Fernandes (Fatima Church, Madi, Manki, Honnavar)
Br. Deep Sushilkumar Macwan (St. Joseph’s Church, Nadiad, Gujarat)
Br. Vijay Roysten Sequeira (Infant Jesus Church, Vamadapadau, Mangaluru)
Br. Fleming D’Souza (St. Lawrence Church, Vijayadka, Bantwal)
Br. Roystan Itoric D’Souza (Sacred Heart Church, Karikal, Bhatkal)

Each of the Postulants was symbolically handed over the Carmelite Breviary by the Provincial.

Since Fr. Jeevan Tauro will continue as Novice Master till the present batch of novices completes its novitiate at Tapovana in Kushanagar, Fr. Provincial has appointed Fr. Ronald S. D’Souza as Pro Tempore Formator of the Postulants.

The Karnataka-Goa Province wishes each of the Postulants an enriching year in preparation for the Novitiate and God’s abundant blessings.
